Organize lists quickly and consistently.
Alphabetical sorting makes lists easier to scan, compare and maintain. It is useful for names, keywords, products, cities, tasks, references, tags, vocabulary lists and many other types of text.
Sort full lines or individual words
Use line mode when each line represents one complete item, such as a person’s name or product title. Use word mode when every separate word should be placed into alphabetical order.
A–Z versus Z–A
Ascending order places entries from A to Z, while descending order reverses the result. Descending order is useful when reviewing names, labels or codes from the end of the alphabet.
Natural sorting for numbered values
Standard text sorting can place Item 10 before Item 2 because it compares characters. Natural sorting recognizes numeric sections and produces the more intuitive order: Item 2, Item 10.
